Kalon Series

The Kalon Series is created to show the relationship between the hard protective exterior and the beauty of the interior. The Sepal is the part of a flower that protect the most delicate interior part of the flower. This work displays the same qualities by having an harder outer layer that is carved away to reveal the vibrant interior. In this process the opaque colored glass is ground away to allow the interior color to show through.
